A playful Celtic and African inspired call-and-response song that includes a chorus featuring the tongue twister ‘she sells sea shells by the sea shore’. From the Cocos Lunch EP for children I Wanna Be A Mermaid. Originally commissioned by the Victorian Arts Centre for the 2007 Chookahs Kids Festival.
Can be performed using the Original Coco’s Lunch Version as a 3 part vocal score (SAT) plus Soprano soloist, or alternatively as a four part score (SSAT) without soloist. SATB version also available. Both versions include optional flute, and African-inspired percussion parts for djembe, floor tom & cow bell.
