This coming April I'm looking forward to being involved in a unique new project: 'Starr/Schulz & Friends: Musical Conversations'. Here is what the two brains behind the project say: ‘Musical Conversations’ is a series of monthly collaborative events between Adam Starr, Anthony Schulz and two different artists per month. This exciting project is staged in conjunction with Open Studio. Curated by Adam Starr and Anthony Schulz, the monthly collaborations are designed to explore each artist’s specific and individual qualities in an ensemble setting. Repertoire may range from arrangements to original compositions to conceptual.' Put Wed 29th April in your diary and come down to Northcote's Open Studio to see myself and electronic programmer David Haberfeld combine our creative spheres with these two musicians!! Check out the SSF website or my Shows page for more info.

It was truly the most exhilarating experience- 6-7 hours a day of high energy drum tuition and dance classes, delivered by the world's best African drum and dance educators, enjoyed with a crew of amazing Aussie dancers from Melbourne Djembe.
Was blessed to have the opportunity of singing and playing percussion with Christopher Hale’s stunning original 8 piece ensemble Sylvan Coda, supporting the legendary Spanish artist Jorge Pardo at the Melbourne Recital Centre for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. An amazing experience to play such complex music in this acoustic space, and breathtaking to watch Jorge Pardo’s trio from side of stage.
